IBB Polonia London advanced to the semifinals of English Cup

IBB Polonia team is playing in the semi-finals of English Cup. In the away match they played in Cardiff, #GoPolonia volleyball team defeated 3-0 the local Celts 2.

We are pleased with the victory and advancing to the semi-finals of the competition for the cup. In terms of sport, the rivals confirmed their strenghts. They played very ambitiously and did not give in this match without a fight. – says the IBB Polonia’s  coach,  Vangelis Koutouleas. – It is very good that there  are such centers as Cardiff on the volleyball map of the British Isles where you can feel an exceptional passion to practice this discipline. The future belongs to such places.

The atmosphere of a place and the involvement of the local volleyball environment of  the team is also highlighted by the chairman of IBB Polonia.

– Great congratulations and thanks are addressed to the organizers, especially to Mark Perkins.The club Cardiff Celts has been around for seven years and as far as I know, it has been the biggest event in its history. You can be sure that all sports Wales noticed this meeting, and we are particularly glad that IBB Polonia London was put forward as an example to follow regarding organisational and sporty matters for volleyball. I hope that in two seasons guys from Cardiff will play with us in the top league – organizationally and mentally they must be ready for it. – said Bartek Łuszcz.

During the match in the Welsh capital, volleyball players of  IBB Polonia was traditionally supported by a group of fans from the Official Fan Club.

Cardiff Celts 2 – IBB Polonia 0-3 (19-25, 19-25, 20-25)

The semi-final match will be played on February, 20th. The rival of IBB Polonia will be the team Malory Eagles. The meeting will be held in Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre in west London.

Super 8 League returns

On Saturday, 6th February, IBB Polonia will host on its property the team from Sheffield Hallam within competitions for Super 8 League. The match starts at 15.00. The prizes (including a VIP trip by ferry from DFDS and dinner in the restaurant Tatra in London) will be drawn among those who book a free ticket on www.polonia.eventbrite.co.uk
