One of the most successful volleyball clubs in Poland joins forces with English Champions.

One of the most successful volleyball clubs in Poland – PGE Skra Belchatow joins forces with 2013 Volleyball England Champions – Polonia London. Both clubs want to build a relationship based on mutual gains and one of many great outcomes is a friendly match between both teams to be played in Poland later in 2013.

PGE Skra Belchatow are the seven times gold medalists of the Polish Volleyball League, runners-up of both – the Champions League and the FIVB Club World Championship – this extremely successful club is one of the best volleyball clubs in the world.

London Polonia is a 2013 Volleyball England champion – with its roots stretching back to 1973, Polonia VC grew from a local group of Polish friends who wanted to carry on playing volleyball in London. These days the club has become one of the oldest and most popular volleyball clubs in Great Britain.

„”Our mission statement clearly states that we aspire to become the best European club when it comes to the sport and organisational achievements. Both clubs – PGE Skra Belchatow and London Polonia have high aspirations and we decided to meet half way to exchange our experiences and thoughts”” – said PGE Skra Chairman – Mr Konrad Piechocki.

The clubs will exchange their knowledge on the sport, development and marketing levels. The main aims are the rapid expansion of volleyball in the United Kingdom, promotion of PGE Skra Belchatow outside Poland and knowledge exchange on the coaches’ level.

There are mutual joint visits planned where further negotiations and developments could be made.

This is the first cooperation on this level in the history of Volleyball England – PGE Skra Belchatow has similar agreements with two other high level Polish volleyball clubs – AZS Czestochowa i Delecta Bydgoszcz.

PGE Skra Bełchatów i polonijny klub Polonia Londyn będą współpracować. W planach jest m.in. zorganizowanie towarzyskiego spotkania obu drużyn.

Polonia Londyn to tegoroczny mistrz Anglii w piłce siatkowej mężczyzn. O sile drużyny stanowią przede wszystkim polscy siatkarze. Klub działa od 1973 roku.

Oba kluby – PGE Skra Bełchatów i Polonia Londyn – spotkały się w połowie drogi. Postanowiliśmy podzielić się swoim doświadczeniem i zaprosić naszych partnerów do wymiany poglądów”” – mówi prezes Skry Konrad Piechocki.

Współpraca będzie dotyczyła działań sportowych, merytorycznych oraz marketingowo-wizerunkowych. Celem współpracy będą: popularyzacja siatkówki na Wyspach Brytyjskich, promocja PGE Skry Bełchatów poza granicami kraju oraz wymiana doświadczenia pomiędzy trenerami w zakresie szkolenia.

Współpraca zakłada wizyty przedstawicieli obu klubów, zarówno w Anglii – PGE Skry jak i w Polsce – Polonii Londyn, wymianę doświadczenie z zakresu marketingu oraz zarządzania organizacją sportową oraz wzajemne konsultacje w sprawach szkoleniowych.

Polonia Londyn będzie trzecim klubem partnerskim PGE Skry Bełchatów. Wcześniej zostały podpisane umowy o współpracy z AZS Częstochowa i Delectą Bydgoszcz.
