Pro Volley Academy trials are done!

Pro Volley Academy trials are done!

Pro Volley Academy had a number of days of open trials between the 3rd and 6th of April. We wish to thank everyone for the massive interest in our project and emphasise that it isn’t the last chance for those who couldn’t make it. There will still be time for interested players to show Greg Niski what they are capable of, and to decide if this is the right step for them.

The beginning of April, during the easter holidays, saw a swarm of excited youngsters attend the sessions run by Greg Niski. Everybody had lots of opportunities to show the Head Coach what they could do.

„I joined Pro Volley Academy because I wanted to play volleyball and to develop my passion. I became more self-confident and improved a lot. One of the best aspects of Pro Volley Academy is the chance to gain valuable experience. If you are serious about volleyball, then pro Volley is your best destination” said Hassan Farhat, who has played for not only the junior squad, but also the senior Super League team.

The program is for students from 16-19 years of age; suitable students will have completed their GCSE or equivalent. Trainings and lessons will take place at Northolt High School in West London. Students will enrol on a BTEC or A Level program at the school. Students will work towards gaining acceptance to their dream University anywhere in the world. It is worth noting that many graduates of Pro Volley Academy are currently representing some of the top volleyball teams in the English Super League.

„During the last league match of the season against Malory Eagles, there were three players currently at The Academy. We are delighted that The project has such bountiful results. Matches against Malory eagles always generate an electric atmosphere, and this was no different” noted Chris Hykiel: Director of Sport at IBB Polonia London.

These were not the final open training sessions for The Academy; we are delighted that volleyball in England is becoming more and more popular and we wish to help both boys and girls develop their skills.

„I am overjoyed that so many people came to our open trials. I am hopeful that apart from continuing our boys’ team, this year we will have a girls’ team as nine indicated Pro Volley Academy as their first choice for studying and playing. We are already inviting interested players to our next set of training sessions which will take place at the end of May” added Coach Niski.

More information will be released on our social media channels about the times and dates of the next sessions.

Moreover, ProVolley athletes will play for the Championship of England. The grand final will take place on 23rd April in Kettering and the opponents will be Boswell School coached by ex-IBB Polonia London player Darren Lewis.

Libero Martino Costa Da Silva said, „I am really hyped up to be able to play in my first-ever final and I hope our team will get the victory”.

We keep our fingers crossed for our young players!
