The teenagers didn’t lose a set all tournament, took first place and now advance to another round which will take place in the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering. The trip to Kettering takes place on 12th March where they will fight the other teams for the grand final. This is the first chance to play at this level since the start of The Academy two years ago and proves that hard work is the winning formula during training and brings the best rewards providing an opportunity for big rewards.
Before this last challenge, the youngsters will return to regular school life and daily training. Some of the players are also representing The Club at the senior level in the Super League. The most imminent match for IBB Polonia London is 13th February against Leeds Gorse at home.
„The next step has been taken. We are in another round and I am very proud of our players from Pro Volley and what they achieved last Saturday. We beat all opposition without the loss of a set and this fills me with great optimism for the finals. The boys showed their best side on court and fought for each point. Their dedication impresses me; I can tell, that from when I joined The Academy, that if we work hard we will have many successes to smile about. I want to thank Saturday’s opponents from Saturday’s Grand Prix and to congratulate their players for a great show. Thanks also to our supporters and families who helped us on Saturday; their cheering carried us along on a wave of passion and helped us win.” said Grzegorz Niski, Head Coach at IBB Polonia and ProVolley Academy.
