ProVolley athletes will play for the Championship of England

The young players completed their final tournament in the England Under 18 competition. Greg Niski’s squad beat everybody once again, and have now made it to the grand final.

Coach Niski and his players displayed a very high standard all season and are the only team in the country to not lose a single set. Last weekend ProVolley Academy took part in the national semi finals in Group B and were the strongest in the group containing Newcastle Staffs, Black Country and Worthing Panthers; all of the matches ended 2-0.

In the deciding cross-over match ProVolley beat last year’s champions: Richmond. Niski’s team had another solid win and took revenge on their defeat in the final last year.

„The last game was the toughest, because we played a team that is on our level. Both teams knew what to expect of each other. The game was pretty even throughout, and the atmosphere on court was tense. I am so happy, excited and proud of our team. we have made it through to the final and I hope we will become Champions of England” said outside hitter Hassan Farhat.

The grand final will take place on 23rd April in Kettering and the opponents will be Boswell School coached by ex IBB Polonia London player Darren Lewis.

Libero Martino Costa Da Silva said „I am really hyped up to be able to play in my first ever final and I hope our team will get the victory”.
