Despite a determined performance, IBB Polonia London was unable to overcome Essex Rebels, falling 0-3 in a tightly contested match that marked the end of our journey in this year’s National Cup.
The first set was a true battle, with both teams going point for point. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we narrowly lost 23:25. One of the key moments was a massive one-on-one block by Jacob Kern from Essex Rebels, which gave his team a crucial advantage and set the tone for the rest of the match.
The second set followed a similar pattern, ending 22:25. Jacob Kern continued to dominate, almost single-handedly leading Essex Rebels. The opposition seemed to score effortlessly, while we struggled under serving pressure and made too many errors at the net, ultimately costing us the set.
In the third set, we fought until the very last point, refusing to give up. However, Essex Rebels maintained their edge and secured the final set 22:25, sealing their victory.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible fans for their unwavering support. Though our National Cup journey ends here, we will come back stronger, ready to fight again!
