Pro Volley, part of the London Sporting Excellence Academy, offers a unique programme designed to allow 16-19 year old volleyball athletes to develop both their athletic and academic skills. The programme focuses on the professional aspects of sport while ensuring students meet their academic requirements. This initiative, tailored specifically for high school students, has become a priority for the club, which has a long history of working with junior players.
“My time at Pro Volley has been an amazing experience. I’ve been able to develop not just academically and athletically, but also as a person. It was a great learning and improving experience for me,” said Henry de Lima, a representative of Pro Volley. Henry, who was also part of the senior team and a Super League silver medalist this season, has recently graduated from the Academy and will be attending one of the top universities in the world, University College London (UCL).
“I am super excited to be going to UCL. They are a very prestigious university, and I am blessed to be going to such a good uni,” Henry added.
Henry’s success story is a testament to the quality of Pro Volley Academy, which not only hones volleyball skills but also provides students with the opportunity to excel academically and gain admission to the best universities in the world.
