This Saturday IBB Polonia London make the journey east to Essex where they will play Essex Rebels in the match to decide who progresses to the next round.
Twice in recent history have IBB Polonia London won the National Cup; in 2016 and 2017. Last season Greg Niski was aiming for a third success, but it was Essex that stopped the celebrations after four sets and a 3-1 victory and took their place in the Final.
Once again this year, but in the quarter finals, both teams are hoping for the win to take them to the semi finals against the winners of the Stockport VC-Durham Palatinates match.
„We have two recent victories in the National Cup, and in a few days we will play Essex. They are a strong team and are currently fourth in the Super League. We haven’t played them this season as both rounds in the league are soon (4th February and 10th March). Consequently it will be our first game with them and we have prepared hard to give us the best chance possible” said Coach Greg Niski.
The game takes place on 27th January 2024 at 3pm in Essex.
