IBB Polonia London is thrilled to announce that Andrea Maggio will continue to represent the club in the upcoming season, marking his fifth year with the team. The Italian opposite hitter has been a cornerstone of the squad since his arrival and was appointed team captain last season, a role he will proudly continue.
Andrea Maggio’s volleyball journey has seen her compete across three countries—Italy, the USA, and the UK—showcasing his talent and leadership on international courts. Before joining IBB Polonia London, Andrea played in Newcastle with Team Northumbria.
Since moving to IBB Polonia London, Andrea has become an integral part of the team’s success, bringing experience, skill, and a deep understanding of the game. His leadership on and off the court has been instrumental in guiding the team through competitive seasons, and her commitment to the club is unwavering.
“I’m very happy to be part of this team for another year. This year will mark my fifth consecutive year with the club, which is very exciting. I’m glad to be back on the court with a group of dedicated and talented players, and I’m confident we will have a great time and enjoy working together towards the same goal”– said Andrea.
As IBB Polonia London prepares for the upcoming season, the team is confident that Andrea’s continued presence and leadership will be vital in their pursuit of excellence. “I am very pleased that Andrea is staying with us for the upcoming season. He is an extremely important member of the team and has been our captain since last season. He is a highly experienced and versatile player who can handle almost any position on the court. This will be Andrea’s fifth season with the club, which shows that he feels very comfortable here and that our cooperation is going excellently,” summed up the team’s coach, Grzegorz Niski.
