Sally Fox-Price and Tomasz Koprowski participated in the 8th Sport Business Poland Congress, an event filled with vast knowledge, inspiring presentations, and meetings with individuals who create global-scale sporting events. Additionally, Tomasz Koprowski, Business Development Director of IBB Polonia London, received the Sport Business Poland Leader award at the 8th SBP Congress!
The Sport Business Poland Association is a premier platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, best practices, and principles of cooperation among entities in the market. As the only sports-business association in Poland, it brings together organisations from all market sectors across the country, regardless of size or budget. Sport Business Poland organises a range of events connecting the worlds of sport and business, including congresses and conferences.
During the 8th Sport Business Poland Congress, representatives of IBB Polonia London participated in engaging debates and presentations, exchanged insights with other Congress attendees, promoted the club and its initiatives, and increased awareness of their vision for developing volleyball in England. Additionally, Tomasz Koprowski led two debates. The first, titled “From Vision and Strategy to Implementation and the Development of an Engaged and Informed Community in Sport – Different Paths to Success,” included speakers such as Benedikt Scholz from Borussia Dortmund, Jose Carlos Loaiza Gallego from La Liga, Martin Stigaard Skammelsen from Aalborg Håndbold, and Tomasz Stamirowski from Widzew Łódź. The second debate, titled “Global Sponsorship: How to Implement an Effective Brand Activation Strategy in the Sporting Community through Partnerships with Sporting Entities,” featured participants including Marek Szkolnikowski, Head of International Sports Sponsorship at InPost Group; Marcin Schmidt, Senior Marketing Manager at Just Eat Takeaway (Pyszne.pl); Krzysztof Sikora, Sponsorship Project Coordinator at Zondacrypto Poland; and Mateusz Małek, Director of Marketing and PR at Blachotrapez Group.
Sally Fox-Price reflected on the event, saying:
“I had a fantastic time in London representing IBB Polonia London at the Sport Business Poland Congress. It was an incredibly impressive event, with brilliant speakers and some masterclasses we were able to participate in. Our very own Tomek Koprowski held two debates. The first one was about ‘From vision and strategy to implementation and the development of an engaged and informed community in sport – different paths to success,’ and the other one on Global Sponsorship was extremely interesting to hear all about. Moreover, Tomek also brought home an award for his contributions to business and sport in Poland. It was very impressive, and we are all immensely proud of him. It is also essential to mention the accolade awarded to Tomek – the Business Development Director of IBB Polonia London received the Sport Business Poland Leader award at the 8th SBP Congress! This prestigious honour was presented by a panel of 40 experts from the sports and business sectors. The award recognises his exceptional commitment and innovative approach to building bridges between the worlds of sport and business.
