2025-01-20

IBB Polonia London showed their resilience and determination on Sunday as they triumphed over Richmond Docklands in a four-set match. This victory came just 24 hours after their hard-fought clash against Malory Eagles, showcasing the team’s grit and ability to bounce back under pressure.

Reflecting on Saturday’s game against the Super League leaders, head coach Bartosz Kisielewicz remarked, “We had good moments today. We need to remember them. Ahead of us is another match, another challenge. We will fight for the best possible result.” And fight they did.

With the support of their fans at Northolt High School, IBB Polonia London opened the first set with determination and confidence, securing a 25:19 win. However, the visitors quickly regrouped and claimed the second set by the same scoreline, levelling the match at 1:1 and setting the stage for a fierce contest.

Unwavering in their quest for victory, IBB Polonia London raised their game in the third and fourth sets. Their dominance was evident as they powered through to win 25:14 and 25:17, respectively, claiming their third victory of the season and three crucial points for the league table.

Ian Chau was named MVP of the match, a recognition of his outstanding performance, which has been a consistent highlight throughout the season. His efforts continue to inspire his teammates and fans alike. Ian is proudly sponsored by Bingo – Agencja Reklamy i Marketingu

“Every game is important. Every win is important for us. It’s good to get three points in the book. We are near the bottom of the table, so every point we can get is the point that we need. It’s good we won this one; we get some momentum into the next couple of weeks, when we have a lot back-to-back as well. It’s good to bring some good energy into the future.” – said Ian after the game.

IBB Polonia London now sit in 8th place on the league table with 8 points. Their next match, scheduled for 25th January against Stockport, is another key fixture. With Stockport currently in 10th place, the stakes are high as both teams vie for crucial points in their battle for league standings.

The team’s recent performances demonstrate their growing strength and determination, offering hope for further victories in the coming rounds. Fans can expect IBB Polonia London to continue fighting for every point as they strive for success this season.

Stay tuned and cheer on IBB Polonia London in their journey through the Super League!
