IBB Polonia London notched up a seventh glittering victory against Newcastle Staffs,
who returned home with 3-0 defeat.
There were many Christmas themed moments on Saturday; the fans who
attended were greeted by Father Christmas and his bulging sack full of
festive IBB Polonia London themed presents accompanied by Christmas music blaring
from the speakers.
The seven starting players of IBB Polonia London were Andrea Maggio, Piero Muller,
Vaidas Audickas, Ephraim Mills, Diego Tamburini, Dahmane Bentiti and Filipi Rodrigues at libero. All three sets were fairly even, but at key moments it was IBB Polonia
London who had the greater experience securing three points for the
league table.
“The set scores were close due to our unforced errors. Staffs are a team with some
good individual skills, and have the potential to challenge for the playoffs. Their best players do a solid job on the left and at serve receive.I feel we were able to play professionally and stayed always in control I was very impressed by the impact that our substitutes made when they were given the chance. My personal MVP was Piero Muller who was outstanding in all aspects on Saturday.” – said Chris Hykiel after the game.
“The win was 3-0, but the game was evenly balanced. Newcastle Staffs played well, but the important factor was the teamwork that was on show on our side of the net.” – said Piero Müller who was chosen MVP of the game.
