March Review: IBB Polonia London’s Month in Perspective

March was a month of intense action and triumphs for IBB Polonia London as they navigated through challenging matchups, secured crucial victories, and earned their spot in the Final4 of the Super League. Here’s a recap of their journey through the month:

 

Challenging Start

The month kicked off with a tough battle against the reigning English champions, Durham Palatinates. Despite facing a formidable opponent, IBB Polonia London fought valiantly but ultimately succumbed to a 3:0 defeat.

Bouncing Back with Victories 

On March 9th, the team delivered a spectacular performance against Richmond Docklands, much to the delight of their loyal supporters. With the atmosphere electric, IBB Polonia London secured another three points, extending their winning streak. George Ivanov shone as the most valuable player of the match, stepping up admirably in the absence of Filipi Rodrigues due to injury. Furthermore, the emergence of young talent like Henry de Lima from Pro Volley Academy added depth to the squad, promising a bright future for the team.

But the excitement didn’t end there. The very next day, on the 10th of March, the team embarked on a challenging journey to take on Essex Rebels. The match was a nail-biter from start to finish. IBB Polonia London dominated the first two sets, but Essex Rebels rallied back, showcasing their resilience and skill. As tensions mounted, supporters on both sides were on the edge of their seats. The tie-breaker was a nerve-wracking affair, with the outcome uncertain until the final point. In the end, it was IBB Polonia London who clinched victory, much to the delight of their fans.

In a thrilling encounter against Newcastle Staffs, IBB Polonia London emerged victorious, marking their 16th win of the season. The team displayed impeccable teamwork and determination, solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with in the Super League.

The stage was set for another thrilling showdown, this time against the Malory Eagles in an away game. In a nail-biting encounter spanning three sets, IBB Polonia London emerged triumphant once again, securing their 16th win of the season in the Super League.

Moreover, March brought a significant achievement for IBB Polonia London as they secured their spot in the Final4 of the Super League. With their place confirmed, anticipation builds as they prepare to showcase their skills at the Kettering Volleyball Centre at the end of the April.

April is coming..

After the festive break, IBB Polonia London returned to action with a home match against Stockport Volleyball Club, marking the end of the regular season. First serve at 4:30 PM at Northolt High School.

The Final Four event will see the top four teams from the regular season – IBB Polonia London, Durham Palatinates, Malory Eagles, and Essex Rebels – battling it out for supremacy on the volleyball court. In the semi-final matchup, IBB Polonia London will go head-to-head against Essex Rebels in what promises to be a thrilling encounter. With both teams hungry for victory, fans can expect an intense and electrifying display of volleyball prowess.
