On Saturday, IBB Polonia London faced Stockport Volleyball in a tightly contested match. Despite their best efforts, the London side was unable to secure a win, with the home team edging them out in a game where every set was decided by the narrowest of margins.
Following an encouraging performance against Richmond Volleyball last week, IBB Polonia travelled to Stockport for an important match in the fight for table positions. The game was evenly matched throughout, with both teams displaying determination and skill. However, it was Stockport who managed to capitalise on the crucial moments to secure the sets in their favour.
After the game, head coach Bartosz Kisielewicz shared his thoughts:
“Unfortunately, we lost to a team that showed greater determination today. Aside from the second set, where we were in control, our play was inconsistent. In each set, our opponents managed to come back from the lead we had built and turn the game to their advantage. Unfortunately, finishing sets has been a challenge for us this season. We need to focus on harder training and ensure that we bring that effort into our matches. That said, we remain optimistic. Next weekend, we have two matches and two chances to secure valuable points.”
Looking ahead, IBB Polonia London faces a challenging double-header, taking on the University of Nottingham away and then returning home to play against London Giants. Both matches will be key opportunities to turn their fortunes around and climb the league table.
