Volleyball Hussars Arrive in London – New Strength for IBB Polonia

IBB Polonia London has repeatedly proven that it is capable of making bold and innovative decisions to strengthen the team. Following moments such as the transfers of Krzysztof Ignaczak and Giba, as well as the battle for the Champions League, the club is now taking another exceptional step – bringing in players from Poland to join the team and support them in the crucial final phase of the season.

These transfers are a reinforcement aimed at helping Polonia in the battle for valuable league points. The new players are experienced athletes whose determination and commitment will be key in the fight for every point in the upcoming matches.

Middle Blocker: Adrian Łakatyszewski

Adrian Łakatyszewski is a player with experience gained in Polish clubs, where he developed his skills from an early age. He started his career with UKS Chemik Olsztyn, then moved to AZS Olsztyn, where he competed in the junior Polish championships and continued playing at the senior level in the Second League. In recent seasons, he played for AZS Zielona Góra and Czarni Rząśnia. After a break, he is now returning to the court to help our team in the final phase of the season.

Setter: Przemysław Cisło

Przemek Cisło, a 30-year-old setter, started his volleyball journey in 2006 in Mielec. As a player, he competed in the Second and Third PZPS and WZPS leagues and gained his volleyball experience as a coach and referee as well.

Joining IBB Polonia London has fulfilled my childhood dream of going abroad and having the chance to play for such a prestigious club! I’m very excited and grateful that our volleyball paths have crossed, and I will give my all to represent the club with pride!” – Przemek shares about his new challenge.

Outside Hitter: Igor Ciemachowski

Igor Ciemachowski is a player who combines indoor volleyball with beach volleyball. In beach volleyball, he has won medals in ranking tournaments of the Polish Championships and triumphed in the Polish Cup during the 2023/2024 season. He has experience not only as a player but also as a beach volleyball coach. He has played for the second league team GKS Stoczniowiec and the PATERA Gdańsk team, competing in numerous tournaments.

Outside Hitter: Mateusz Wójcik

Mateusz Wójcik, a 23-year-old outside hitter, started his volleyball journey with the Sparta AGH Kraków team. After finishing high school, he played for two years at AS Niepołomice, gaining valuable experience. He is currently a fourth-year student at AWF Kraków, where he has represented the university’s AZS AWF Kraków team from the beginning of his studies.

Setter: Maciej Gogulski

Maciej Gogulski, a 21-year-old player from Krakow, began his volleyball journey at the age of 11 in the Radwan Sport club. He spent most of his career at KS Hutnik Kraków. Currently, he plays for AZS AWF Kraków and is eager to use his energy and commitment to help the IBB Polonia London team as much as possible.

Outside hitter: Grzegorz Osiecki

Grzegorz Osiecki, a 25-year-old player, started his volleyball journey at the age of 7 in MKS GRYF Brzesko. After many years spent on local courts, he moved to Krakow to try his skills in a more competitive environment and gain valuable experience with the AZS AWF Kraków team.

With these transfers, IBB Polonia London not only gains new strength in the team but also another proof that the club is not afraid to make innovative decisions. Thanks to the support of the new players, the team has a chance to focus on each match and fully utilize its potential in the final stretch of the season.
